Building a personal decision practice

Daily

At the end of each working day, spend two minutes identifying the most significant decision you made that day. Log it: what was the decision, what was the expected outcome, what is your confidence level. This takes less than three minutes. Over 90 days, it generates 90 data points that are the raw material for calibration analysis.

Weekly

At the start of each week, identify the highest-stakes decision you expect to face in the coming five days. Write down, in advance, what information you need to make it well, which biases are most likely to affect it, and what your initial intuition tells you. Quarterly
